Murder of Chelsea Craig endangers lives of disabled children

The death of Chelsea Craig, a fourteen-year-old teen with Rett Syndrome, was truly a tragedy.

"The lives of disabled children are made fragile by their disorder and even more vulnerable when a society won't respond with appropriate outrage when they are murdered" said Karen Murawsky, Director of Campaign Life Coalition's Ottawa Lobby office.

"The outpouring of misplaced compassion for Robert Latimer is creeping through the media into this case before all the facts are fully revealed", she continued.

The life of a person with a disability or a disease is of equal value to the life of a healthy individual. We must protect the life of every human being regardless of their circumstances.

Campaign Life Coalition urges the provincial government to provide the support families caring for the disabled so desperately need.
