In a blatant attempt to put pressure on the Manitoba provincial government to fund their killing business, a group of women in Winnipeg are turning Morgentaler’s abortuary into a non-profit facility. They are pressuring the Manitoba government to pay for their despicable business. “These women claim they will miss Morgentaler’s ‘deep pockets.’ This is a tragically funny statement about a man who tried to save 79 cents by re-using disposable curettes on his patients in the eighties,” said Jim Hughes, National President of Campaign Life Coalition. “Morgentaler never has had any real concern for women, only for lining his own pockets, and now he wants to do this at taxpayers expense.” Maria Slykerman, president of Campaign Life Coalition Manitoba, said, “Babies will still be killed there, no matter who owns it. We hope the Manitoba government will not be foolish enough to pay for it with our tax dollars.” She vowed her group will continue regular picketing. Campaign Life Coalition urges all provincial governments, especially Manitoba and New Brunswick, to guard against all attempts by Henry Morgentaler to dip into the public purse to pay for his bloody business.
Campaign Life Coalition is Canada's national pro-life organization. |
