Pro-abortion

Angela told CLC that she supports abortion (a.k.a. a woman's right to choose) as well as continued taxpayer funding of abortion.

It is also notable that Leader of the Green party, Mike Schreiner, is an opponent of Catholic moral teaching in Catholic schools and strongly supports the gay pride parade.

     Pro-life, pro-family

In a July 16th telco with a pro-life leader, Chahbar indicated that he is strongly pro-life and was raised with the value that human life is sacred.

Pro-abortion
Under his presidency, OSSTF's newsletter advocated for "reproductive rights", which is code word for "abortion".  He is also a fierce opponent of religious freedom & parental rights. He signed a letter to the Halton Catholic School Board, chastising it for a policy banning homosexual-activist clubs in Catholic schools.

Pro-abortion

(official NDP position)

Pro-abortion

He has not replied to CLC's questionnaire, but the offical party policy is pro-abortion. Additionally, Green Party policy supports continued taxpayer funding of abortion. It is also notable that the Green party leader is an opponent of Catholic moral teaching in Catholic schools and supports the gay pride parade.

 Pro-abortion

He told a pro-life leader that he believes abortion is permissible for a variety of reasons. However, he opposes forcing taxpayers to fund abortions.

The Leader of the Freedom Party, Paul McKeever, replied to CLC's questionnaire with an email stating that the official party policy is to oppose taxpayer funding of abortions. McKeever also stated that he is opposed to legalizing euthanasia & assisted suicide.

He has not replied to CLC questionnaire, but he told a supporter while door-knocking that he believes abortion is permissible in the case of rape and to save the life of the mother.

On July 8 he was interviewed on Sun News TV and spoke out against the "radical sex-ed" agenda of the McGuinty / Wynne administration, saying a return to quality education is what the voter wants. During the interview he also spoke strongly in favour of keeping the Catholic school system

Pro-abortion

In reply to a request for his views on abortion, he told a CLC leader, "“I would never, ever try to make that choice for anyone else”. That is a common way that pro-abortion politicians explain their belief that mothers who want  to have their preborn children aborted, should not be prevented by the law from doing so.  He also said he would not support any efforts to end the unfair government practice of forcing Ontario taxpayers to fund abortions through OHIP.

(official NDP position)

Pro-abortion

She has not replied to CLC questionnaire, but a campaign worker told a CLC supporter that Taylor supports "a woman's right to choose" to have an abortionist kill her unborn child and would not change the policy of diverting taxpayer dollars towards elective abortion.  It is also notable that the Green party leader is an opponent of Catholic moral teaching in Catholic schools and supports the gay pride parade.

In conversation with a CLC leader about abortion, he said he would 'respect' whatever is the current law of the land with regards to taxpayer funding of abortion until such time as there is a federal law to change the basis for funding. Unfortunately Robert seems to believe, rather inaccurately, that the provincial legislature does not have the legal power to delist abortion from the list of insured services covered by OHIP.  The truth is that neither the Canada Health Act nor the Supreme Court have ever said that provinces must pay for elective abortions. This is a myth perpetuated by abortion-activists.  MPPs have the power to delist any service that is not medically necessary.  Since pregrnancy is not an illness or disease, there is no reason that Ontario legislators must fund it.  Generally, Robert seemed to be open to evidence-based arguments.
