By-Elections in TDSB and Toronto City Council

July 25th will be a busy day for Toronto voters, as three by-elections will take place on that date: two for Toronto District School Board (TDSB) Trustees, and one for Toronto City Councillor.  Here are the details:

1. TDSB Trustee, Ward 1 (Etobicoke North). Outgoing Trustee Michael Ford resigned in May to run in the by-election for Toronto City Councillor in City Ward 2 - a seat left vacant upon the death of Michael's uncle and former Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford. View candidate comparison here. At this time, we have not yet confirmed a Supportable candidate. If you know of any candidate who is pro-life, please let us know.

2. TDSB Trustee, Ward 5 (York Centre). This Trustee position was left vacant on the death of Howard Kaplan in April. View candidate comparison here. As of this posting, there is one Supportable candidate running: Edward Zaretsky.

3. Toronto City Councillor, City Ward 2 (Etobicoke North). This by-election is being held to replace deceased Councillor and former Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford. View candidate comparison here. To date, CLC has identified one pro-life candidate: Kevin Clarke.
