Following the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) letter to Justin Trudeau in March 2017, which condemned the government’s radical announcement of the $650 million for abortion funding, aggressive sterilization programs, and abortion lobbying overseas, Justin Trudeau has remained unfazed in his commitment to spread his deadly abortion agenda worldwide. On June 6, in her address in the House of Commons, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chrystia Freeland, had the audacity and arrogance to proclaim that abortion is at the "core of our foreign policy."

As shocking as such a statement was, it was not shocking to us at Campaign Life Coalition. The current Liberal govecrnment’s determination to be a champion of so called "abortion rights" was a pillar of Justin Trudeau’s election campaign right from the start. In response to this radical proclamation, Bishop Douglas Crosby, on behalf of the CCCB issued a letter dated June 29 to Chrystia Freeland slamming her position as “erroneous, confusing and misguided” rebuking the government’s political ideology and self-proclaimed "Canadian values". The three page letter highlighted Trudeau’s misplaced priorities and outlined the contradictions within their foreign policy. Campaign Life Coalition applauds the Canadian bishops for accusing the Canadian government of engaging in what Pope Francis calls “ideological colonization”.

CLC  encourages all faithful Catholics, Christians and those of other faith communities to join the Bishops in opposing this abortion agenda. The full letter can be found on www.cccb.ca.

Additionally, during the Family Planning Summit in London, England, on July 11, our government released a list of organizations who will be receiving $241.5 million (of the $650 million abortion fund) to carry out their projects in various African and Middle Eastern countries, providing and promoting abortion, sterilization, and age-inappropriate sex-ed programs for children. Some of these recipients included the United Nations Populations Fund, the U.N.’s most radical population control agency whose solution to eradicating poverty is eradicating the poor. International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), the world's largest and most aggresive abortion and 'sexual rights' promoter, is another recipient. Margaret Sanger, the racist and eugenicist founder of Planned Parenthood of America and former president of IPPF would be proud. Additionally, millions of dollars are also going to Marie Stopes, a British abortion giant who has been caught committing abortion in countries where it is illegal, and in the U.K. is riddled with scandal. It is also important to note that the government is also sending $20 million to the Clinton Foundation through the Clinton Health Access Initiative. The foundation has been under scrutiny for engaging in cash-for-access corruption, receiving millions of dollars from foreign governments, in return for access and favour by the Clintons.
