Campaign Life Coalition announces theme for the 2015 National March for Life, supported by powerful video campaign

Toronto, March, 6, 2015 – With the countdown to the largest annual pro-life event in Canada well under way, Campaign Life Coalition is pleased to announce the 2015 National March for Life theme and video campaign Let Life Win. The campaign will showcase a series of video testimonials of Canadians from various walks of life sharing their personal experiences. Each week, a new video will be released, beginning with a video of MP Stephen Woodworth kicking off the series.

“Every year, the National March for Life, draws attention to the gravest human rights violation of our day, the ongoing killing of pre-born human beings,” said Jim Hughes, president of Campaign Life Coalition. “Today, with the ongoing attempts to expand abortion access in the Maritimes and efforts to put women at risk by legalizing deadly drugs such as RU-486; attacks on the conscience rights of medical practitioners and the removal of bans to protect the sick, the elderly and the vulnerable from assisted-suicide and euthanasia, there has never been more reason to march for life than in 2015. Canadians need to demand that our government protect human life at all its stages.”

On Thursday, May 14, the pre-march rally, which begins on Parliament Hill at 12 noon, will feature several speakers including parliamentarians and pro-life and religious leaders. The March through downtown Ottawa starts at 1:30 pm. Other March for Life related events include a Candlelight vigil on the eve of the March, both the Rose Dinner (featuring New York Times best-selling author Eric Metaxas) and Youth Banquet (featuring anti-pornography and popular youth speaker Matt Fradd) the evening of the March, and a full day Youth Conference on Friday May 15.

“The theme Let Life Win, is a motto we encourage all Canadians to live by,” said Mary Ellen Douglas, National Organizer for Campaign Life Coalition. “The theme brings to light the reality that everyone faces hard and difficult choices in their lives, and when they do, they should let life win.”

The first video of the campaign, posters and brochures are now available at marchforlife.ca to download and circulate in communities across the country.
