On June 16, 2005, the University of Western Ontario intends to honour a man whose only claim to fame is the killing of unborn babies. Reaction from alumni and the public has been swift in opposition. “The decision by the University of Western Ontario to bestow an honorary doctor of laws degree on Henry Morgentaler is most inappropriate”, says Jim Hughes, National President of Campaign Life Coalition. “This is a man who broke the law in order to change it. Some example to our young people!” he continued. Campaign Life Coalition invites all who oppose the decision to give Henry Morgentaler an honorary doctor of laws degree, to join them in front of the official residence of university president, Dr. Paul Davenport, at 1836 Richmond Street , London , on Sunday, May 15, from 2-3 p.m.
