Belinda Stronach, Conservative MP for Newmarket-Aurora has crossed the floor of the House of Commons to become a Liberal Cabinet Minister. “The news flash this hour, that Belinda Stronach has left the Conservative Party for a Liberal Cabinet post is one more example of the desperation and apprehension of Paul Martin's Liberals. They appear to be using any and all bribes to secure enough votes before Thursday,” said Jim Hughes, National President of Campaign Life Coalition (CLC). “The situation in Parliament is a disgraceful joke,” said Mary Ellen Douglas, National Organizer of CLC. “Call the election now, Mr. Martin, while you may perhaps still retain a tiny ounce of respect of anyone in Canada,” she continued. Campaign Life Coalition believes that the Liberals' lust to hang on to power is the primary motive for this political manoeuvre, but it will also fulfil their agenda to promote and legislate the destruction of marriage.
