Campaign Life Coalition strongly condemns PEI government’s decision to allow the killing of pre-born human beings on the Island

Charlottetown, March 31, 2016 – Campaign Life Coalition strongly condemns today’s decision by the PEI government to allow abortionists to kill pre-born human beings on the Island and to force taxpayers to pay for these abortions.

“In today’s announcement, Premier Wade MacLauchlan, Health Minister Rob Henderson and the Minister for the Status of Women, Paula Biggar, claimed that they have listened to both sides of the debate, but in reality the only position they cared about was the one they shared with pro-abortion activists,” said Jim Hughes, President of Campaign Life Coalition. “Shame on them for bringing abortion to the province.”

“This decision falls in line with the federal government’s goal to expand the killing of human life from coast to coast,” said Mary Ellen Douglas, National Organizer for Campaign Life Coalition. “This is truly a sad day for Prince Edward Island, and a sad day in our nation’s history.”

Campaign Life Coalition calls upon the PEI government to reconsider their ill-advised plan to bring abortion to the Island and to focus on the genuine healthcare needs of Islanders.
