Bio

Thomas Dang
Not Supportable
CLC rating: Pro-abortion, anti-parental rights, pro-euthanasia
Rating Comments: In December 2021, MLA Dang was asked to leave the NDP caucus by Party leader Rachel Notley in light of an RCMP investigation into Dang's hacking of the Alberta government's COVID-19 Vaccination records system.
Dang's CLC Rating is based on NDP party policy which is officially pro-abortion, and his pro-death voting record in the legislature.
According to a January 27 2010 Edmonton Sun article, the New Democratic Party of Alberta published a report calling for greater access to abortion, and complaining that part of the "problem" is that not enough medical students are taught how to kill babies in-utero.

Percentage in last election: 46.60%

Votes, Surveys and Policy Decision Vote Score
Not Supportable
Committee Meeting Record: Motion # 40, made to the Select Special Public Health Act Review Committee, moving that the committee recommend in its report to the Alberta Legislative Assembly that the Public Health Act be amended to explicitly guarantee province-wide access to abortion as a "right"
Moved by radical pro-abortion NDP MLA Kathleen Ganley as being representative of the view of her Party, Motion # 40 sought to impose pro-abortion politics on the Public Health Act by inserting an explicit assertion of a "right to access abortion" throughout Alberta. This maneuver was to be accomplished by convincing her fellow members of the Select Special Public Health Act Review Committee to vote to recommend her Motion to the Legislature, which has the power to amend the Public Health Act. Fortunately, the pro-child-killing Motion was defeated when the majority United Conservative Party committee members voted against it. [Defeated by a vote of 7 to 4 on September 30, 2020]
Yes bad

Moved by pro-euthanasia NDP MLA Sarah Hoffman, Motion # 39 sought to impose euthanasia politics on the Public Health Act by inserting an explicit assertion of a "right to access medical assistance in dying" throughout Alberta. This maneuver was to be accomplished by convincing her fellow members of the Select Special Public Health Act Review Committee to vote to recommend her Motion to the Legislature, which has the power to amend the Public Health Act. Fortunately, the medical homicide Motion was defeated when the majority United Conservative Party committee members voted against it. [Defeated by a vote of 7 to 4 on September 30, 2020]
