Candidate, Stephen McNeil
Liberal Party, Annapolis, NS
Bio
CLC rating: Pro-abortion, anti-traditional marriage
Rating Comments: In 1999, McNeil filled out a CLC questionanire, giving pro-life, pro-family answers. However, during the October 2013 provincial election, he came under attack by the pro-abortion media. Shamefully, McNeil immediately abandoned his moral principles and told the media that his views have "evolved" since answering CLC's questionnaire both on the right to life and on the definition of marriage. He declared that he now supports the practice of having an abortionist kill a child in the womb, and that he opposes the true definition of marriage ordained by God.
In August 2020, Premier McNeil announced his resignation and departure from political life. His seat in the provincial riding of Annapolis became vacant on May 3, 2021.
