Here are quotes from Betsy McGregor on various life and family issues:
Explaining why she supports the continued legalized killing of babies in the womb via abortion: "I understand how difficult it must be to find oneself in the agonizing position of an unexpected or unwanted pregnancy. My goal would be to support the woman or couple, to provide options on how to keep the baby while strengthening the family unit. I personally believe in the sanctity of life and that life begins at conception. Personally I could never choose to terminate a pregnancy and believe that such an action would be wrong. The current Canadian regulatory framework, however, is the result of years of debate and represents a consensus among the majority of Canadians. In these circumstances, I do not believe it is my place to impose my personal perspective and would not be advocating for legislative changes." [April 21, 2011, letter to CLC]
