Refused to answer questionniare. Stated, "I have been acclaimed. I do not agree in principle with your tactic, not necessarily your questions, although I do believe they distort the long standing tradition of intellectual debate with our Church.." Later added, "I believe I am well aware of the Church’s position on each of the topics your questionnaire raises as well as the subtle room allowed for a nuanced political response in the statement you quote from the CDF. The statement does not however, require the absolutist and narrowly defined and in the case of homosexuality absolutely unkind and uncharitable positions that CLC/CLC illustrates in its own positions on such questions through its various publications. .. I have no need of your support.
