On December 10, 1948 the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Preamble states: Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world ... Article 3: Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. Canada is the only country in the developed world that has no law protecting the unborn child. Completely Human A child, from the time of conception / fertilization, is a complete human being. The child (1) has a metabolism, (2) grows, (3) can reproduce at some stage of its normal life process, (4) has a complete and unique set of DNA, and (5) its DNA is classified as belonging to the human species. |
