Halton Catholic school board vote on halting Wynne sex-ed roll-out

June 2, 2015 @ 7:30pm
Where: Halton Catholic District School Board - 802 Drury Lane, Burlington, ON

Say no to irresponsible Sex-Ed.

The Halton Catholic District School Board of Trustees tabled a 'Notice of Motion' on May 19th with a resolution that seeks to delay implementation of the Wynne government's Health and Physical Education Curriculum (which includes the age-inappropriate, overly-explicit sex-ed program) for one year, pending consultations with parents, ratepayers and other stakeholders.

The board reconvenes on Tuesday, June 2nd at 7:30 PM, at which time a vote on the Motion (made by Trustee Anthony Danko) will be held.

Please make every effort to attend the Board meeting on Tuesday, June 2nd at 7:30PM and demonstrate your support for this Motion to protect Catholic school children from government imposed sexualization.

We are also pleased to share with you a fantastic press release by Oakville Trustee, Helena Karabela. She states that she will vote in favour of the Motion to delay implementation of Kathleen Wynne’s radical sex ed curriculum by at least one year, to allow time for the HCDSB to conduct a proper, meaningful consultation with parents and other stakeholders.

In these final days leading up to the June 2nd Board meeting vote, please phone and email your trustee, along with the Board Chair, Jane Michael. Ask them to vote YES to Trustee Danko’s motion. Contact info for each trustee is available by clicking here.
