The writ has been dropped in Ontario. Voters will head to the polls on June 12 to elect a new government. 

A provincial election was called after NDP Leader Andrea Horwath finally joined the Progressive Conservatives in bringing down the scandal-plagued Wynne government.  This was because of a police investigation into alleged criminal activities that may’ve taking place in the office of Premier Kathleen Wynne, in relation to destruction of emails and erasing of computers in order to cover up more damning evidence about the gas plant scandal.  The McGuinty/Wynne Liberal government wasted $1.2 billion dollars of taxpayer money by cancelling gas plant contracts in Brampton/Mississauga area, in order to win 5 Liberal seats in the last election. Wynne and McGunity have denied it was politically motivated, and police are investigating the deletion of emails within the Premier's office which possibly admitted the money-wasting scandal was politically motivated.

This election is a fantastic opportunity to elect pro-life MPP’s to Queen’s Park. They are sorely needed.  Morally-speaking, Queens Park is in a shambles. Financial and moral corruption is rife throughout the place. Only a handful of MPPs currently have any pro-life leanings whatsover. Many MPPs at Queens Park are in fact militant, anti-life, anti-family activists who abuse their power as elected officials to impose their anti-Christian ideology on the masses. Under the McGunity/Wynne government, legislation was secretly passed which hid abortion statistics from the public. By edict of the Liberal government, Ontarians are no longer permitted to know the number of abortions committed annually in the province.

Under the McGunity/Wynne goverment, a radical homosexual agenda was imposed on all schools, including Catholic ones. Bill 13 is filled with curriculum which seeks to normalize the homosexual lifestyle in the minds of children, teaches them that little boys might actually be little girls if they feel that way in their mind, and forces schools to permit student-lead, homosexual activists clubs and transgender/transsexual clubs whenever requested. This tyrannical piece of legislation violated the constitutionally-protected right to freedom of religion for Catholic schools in Ontario. Bill 13, euphemistically named "The Acccepting Schools Act" so as to avoid parental scrutinty, was written under the direction of then Education Minister Kathleen Wynne and also under the direction of accused child pornographer, Benjamin Levin, Wynne's Deputy Education Minister and a member of her leadership transition team.

Under the Wynne/McGuinty regime, the inherent parental right to direct the moral education of their own kids has been devastated. School boards are now pointing to Bill 13 as justification for refusing to give parents advance notice of controversial classroom lessons and presentatons that are likely to undermine the family's religious beliefs.  At one point, Wynne's successor as Education Minister, Leona Dombrowsky, pointed to Bill 13 as giving the Liberal government the power to ban Catholic teaching against abortion... in Catholic schools! And she promised to ban Catholic teaching until massive grassroots pushback caused her to backpedal.

Euthanasia and assisted suicide has also become a provincial election issue in Ontario. Following Quebec's Bill 52 which sought to give doctors the power to kill their patients, Premier Kathleen Wynne signalled that she would likely follow Quebec's death wish and be open to declaring this form of homicide "medical treatment", so as to circumbent the Criminal Code and regulate it under provincial health care jurisdiction.

""I think this is a national discussion that every one of us as citizens of this country is going to have to think about", the controversial Liberal Leader told reporters, promising a 'discussion' on legalizing euthanasia. " It's about human beings deciding what kinds of choices they believe that they should have."

Euthanasia and assisted suicide would unleash hell upon Canada. People who are depressed and therefore not truly capable of making a competent decision will be able to request death by a doctor.  This will worsen the problem of elder abuse because unscrupulous children who want inheritance or who find elder care too burdensome, will steer the parent to consider suicide.  As the population ages and our financially unsustainable healthcare system continues to spiral toward insolvency, the so-called "right to die" will quickly become a "duty to die" in the minds of the sick and elderly who will feel guilty for sucking up precious healthcare resources.  And you can bet that the same medical profession which now supports abortion for reasons of lifestyle convenience, will rely on euthanasia to ration healthcare resources and free up hospital beds. 

The current medical ethic of fighting to save every precious human life will be replace by one which first assigns a value to people based on the subjective criteria of "quality of life". If a doctor or nurse feels you have a low quality of life score, you will not be eligible for publivly funded treatement, but you will be pushed towards suicide.  A profound tilt will occur where many doctors choose to offer death as a solution to suffering instead of treatment. Things that our society currently views as repugnant will gradually become palatable. For example, the Dutch Medical Society is lobbying to loosen rules on euthanasia so that people can access it for reasons of "financial distress" or merely being "tired of life". And Canadians will gradually progress into that mentality. After all, isn’t it discriminatory to allow alleviation of suffering to some Canadians, but not to others? Who are we to decide that the terminally ill cancer patient's suffering is any more painful than the teenager who is psychologically tortured by severe depression? Of course, the courts wil have to agree with that logic. We have the Charter of Rights, remember! Discrimination is not allowed, according to the "equality" section (15).  If we allow euthanasia for one person, it will become a "right" that must be granted to all. The only way to stop this slippery slope is to keep euthanasia illegal in all cirucumstances.There's no other safeguard. Period. 

Besides rating candidates on where they stand on public funding of abortion, it is now important to also rate Ontario's provincial candidates and MPPs based on whether they support the homicidal practice known as euthanasia or assisted suicide.

Please talk to the candidates from all parties in your riding, and find out their position on these sanctity of life and taxpayer defense issues. Report what you learn back to Campaign Life Coalition by email,  so we can share the info with other voters in your riding.  Then please  vote pro-life!
