Who we are: CLC Youth is a network for pro-life young people to help them get involved and stay informed about life and family issues.
Young people have a special role to play in influencing politicians, activism, education and changing the culture. CLC Youth is a branch of Campaign Life Coalition, the largest and oldest pro-life organization in Canada. CLC works at all levels of government to secure full legal protection for all human beings from the time of conception to natural death.
By joining CLC Youth, you will receive quarterly newsletters and action alerts that keep you updated on current life issues in Canada. You will receive ideas on how you can act to change Canada for the better. You will also be informed on current events and activities which can make a difference and even save some lives.
BEING PRO-LIFE: It’s about idealism and activism; it’s about human rights and social justice; it’s about equality for those who need it the most.
Martin Luther King Jr once said, “our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.” Stop the silence. Join us to fight to end this battle and fight on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves.

Christmas is right around the corner and what better way to spread the holiday spirit than mailing pro-life heroine Mary Wagner a Christmas card? This will be Mary's second consecutive Christmas behind bars for peacefully offering pro-life counselling to women inside abortion clinic waiting rooms. Sending her a Christmas card is a simple action you can do to touch her life and offer her comfort, hope and love during this Christmas season. All you have to do is buy/ make a Christmas card and send it to Mary at the following address:
Vanier Centre for Women
P.O Box 1040
655 Martin St.
Please use the following guidelines to make sure it passes all prison requirements and Mary is able to receive the letter from behind bars:
1. Do not use any plastic cards, medals, stamps, stickers in your card
2. Put your return address on the card as well as on the outside of the envelope
3. Do not discuss the internal workings of the prison
4. Remember that the mail scrutinizing guards will read everything and anything confidential
We are all called to be actively pro-life in different ways. Some of us do street activism, some of us belong to our high school/ University pro-life groups, others go to the March for Life or participate in the local 40 Days for Life campaigns. No matter what YOU have been called to do to fight against this injustice, we all need to support each other any way we can. Mary Wagner is a young woman who needs our support now more than ever. Please take five minutes out of your day to mail her a Christmas card of encouragement since she will be spending this holiday season without her family and loved ones behind bars in a jail cell for standing up for the unborn.

To find out more information on Mary Wagner, please see the description below:
Mary Wagner is a young woman in her thirties who has been in and out of jail for the past two and a half years for her practice of entering abortion clinics and offering women there a rose and pro-life counselling.
In a recent letter to pro-lifers from prison, Mary explained why she enters into the abortion clinics saying, "...with time, abortion has gained acceptance as the "providing of a medical procedure", and those who seek to intervene on behalf of the babies in imminent danger can be - and are - charged with crimes, as I am, as Linda Gibbons has been repeatedly, and as many others in the past have been as well."
Mary is originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia and is a member of a family of 15. Her latest arrest happened on August 15th, 2012 at a Toronto abortion facility and is being incarcerated for "mischief" (interference with lawful employment/ operation of a business).
Mary's defence is not so much addressing these charges, but her justification for doing so. Mary's factum, submitted to the court on April 16, 2013 states, "Mary believes her attempts to civilly converse with a pregnant woman in a waiting room at a medical clinic to choose life for their unborn baby falls within sec ion 37 go the Criminal Code of Canada that justifies the prevention of assault upon another human being. This court needs to determine the underlying issue of whether S. 37 covers all human beings or just those who are already born".
In 2012, Mary Wagner (along with Linda Gibbons) were awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal, nominated by MP Maurice Vellacott who credits them for their faithful underlying battle for justice for pre-born children.
On August 9th, 2013, almost a year after Mary's latest imprisonment, Cardinal Oswald Gracias, Archbishop of Bombay and President of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences visited Mary behind bars. In a recent article by LifeSiteNews.com, Cardinal Gracias remarked, "“[Pope] Francis is so clear about the necessity of us giving witness to the Gospel in spite of difficulties. I am deeply convinced that one should do what one sees is right. Follow the gospel in good times and in bad, whatever the difficulties. So in that sense, I certainly fully support what Mary Wagner’s doing.”
To read a letter Mary wrote to pro-life supporters from behind bars explaining why she is choosing to offer up her freedom for the unborn, please see her letter here: http://
Did you know that at least $50 million a year of our hard-earned tax-dollars is spent on abortions in Ontario? CLC Youth holds the position that government-funded abortions are a blatant abuse of tax dollars, are severely unjust, and that these funds can and MUST be directed away from the killing of our preborn children. This is an issue that should be held close to the hearts of young people in particular. We did not have a choice to stand-up against the Morgentaler decision, but we DO have a choice now. Let’s use it.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
1.Defund Abortion Pamphleting Blitz: Since the launch of this camapign in 2011, hundreds of thousands of pamphlets have been delivered to the doorsteps of Ontarians across the province. A recent Abacus Data poll found that 91% of Ontarians had no idea their tax-dollars went towards the funding of abortions in this province. Pamphleting therefore is an extremely effective way to get this vital information out to the public, and it's super easy! Call or e-mail CLC Youth and order as many pamphlets as you need free of charge. Get some friends together on a Saturday and deliver them in your neighborhood. Go out for pizza after and voila! You just helped bring this campaign one step closer to victory! To view our Defund Abortion brochure, click here.
2. Petition: Over 25,000 people across the province have signed our Defund Abortion Petition which will be handed over the MPPs as soon as we have enough signatures to make a HUGE impact. For this we need YOUR help. Please print of as many copies of our Defund Abortion Petition here, and collect signatures at your school, church, youth group, from your friends, family, neighbours, strangers etc- and send the completed pages to Campaign Life Coalition (104 Bond St, Toronto, ON M5B 1X9).
3. Defund Abortion Mini Defund Rallies: On October 3rd, 2013, over 60 individual Defund Abortion Mini Rallies were held in front of consituency offices across the province to send a message to individual MPPs that this an issue their constituents care about. Thousands of people from across the province came out for this public witness, attracting media across Ontario and grabbing the attention of the public. To see media coverage and highlights from this event, click here.
4. Defund Abortion Campus Campaign: Are you a University student in Canada? If so- the Defund Abortion Campus campaign is an easy and efficient way to educate your campus about abortion and abortion-funding. It's easy, free and effective. All you have to do is contact CLC Youth on the number of pamphlets you need to conduct this campaign and we will send them to you free of charge. Take an hour or two to ask students passing by three simple survey questions which can be found here. Using the polling questions, change hearts and minds with this easy and effective project! Hand out the pamphlets as ammo to make your campus more pro-life one student at a time! Make sure to let the National Campus Life Network know you are doing this campaign so they can help promote it on your campus!

On Saturday, January 28th, 2012, CLC Youth did their first "choice" chain demonstration in downtown Toronto, and have been doing it monthly ever since. "Choice" chain was started by the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform in Calgary, and has quickly spread across the country as one of the most effective forms of pro-life street activism hitting the public today. It's done by holding 3x4-foot signs of first-trimester aborted babies to the public, handing out pamphlets and engaging pedestrians in discourse about abortion.
As CCBR writes, "'Choice' Chain is a powerful way to compel thought and debate on this controversial topic. By bringing the evidence to what abortion does to the unborn to the public, Canadians who do not want to think about the issue are compelled to deal with its gravity. The event stimulates public dialgoue and ensures that the discussions occur in light of the reality of abortion." If you are interested in joining the CLC Youth "Choice" Chain Campaign in the GTA- please e-mail email@example.com.
If you are interested in starting up your own "choice" chain campaign in your own city, please contact the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform by clicking here.
