Keep Ontario schools porn-free and safe
Do you know if the children in your life have access to pornographic or sexually-explicit books at their schools?
Some moms and dads in Alberta found out the hard way.
A group of concerned parents uncovered a diabolic stockpile of these kinds of reading materials in various schools.
It was bad – and I mean really bad.
How bad?
Well, some examples included references to sex between adult men and underage boys, oral sex, sex toys, and explicit sex acts.
I hate showing any of this content, but some people need to see what their kids are being exposed to before they’re stirred to action.
So, I'm going to provide a link to an example from a popular graphic novel called Gender Queer, which we’ve partially redacted in order to conceal the explicit sex act. I have to warn you, though, the content is quite graphic and should not be viewed around young children. Click here to see it.

This title isn’t available only in Alberta’s schools.
Based on CLC’s preliminary investigation of just two Ontario school boards, the TDSB and WRDSB, we can tell you that this particular title is available in at least 30 of Toronto's public schools and three of Waterloo Region's.
And that’s only one of the sexually-explicit books that are available throughout Alberta’s (and Ontario’s) schools! There are scores of others.
I also want to point out that much of the content happened to be LGBT-themed.
Those horrible books were on the shelves of libraries in schools throughout the province and parents were tired of feeling like they had their hands tied.
So, a group of concerned mothers and fathers decided to take matters into their own hands and work through the system, going straight to the top.
They organized a meeting with Alberta’s Minister of Education and showed him pages from the pornographic books. He was completely shocked and appalled by what he saw.
The Education Minister did more than just agree with parental concerns. He took action.
The province says it’s going to introduce new rules about “age appropriate” materials for their school libraries.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could do that in Ontario?
Well, we can.
You can get the ball rolling by signing our petition.
Sign your name and demand that Premier Doug Ford, Education Minister Paul Calandra, and all MPPs follow the example of Alberta and ban all pornographic or sexually-explicit books at school libraries across Ontario.
This is an issue that everyone in the province can get behind – because our children are worth protecting.
