URGENT! Phone these MPs to stop Bill C-9
RED ALERT!!
We need our supporters to bombard Liberal MPs with phone calls over the next four business days.
The Liberals are expected to introduce a motion in the House of Commons on Monday March 9 to cut-off committee debate on their dangerous "hate speech" Bill C-9, so they can ram it through parliament and quickly make it law.
The motion will force a vote by the MPs on the Justice Committee so the bill, including the anti-Christian amendment to delete the "religious text exemption" for hate speech, can be rushed to a final, third reading vote in the House of Commons. This amendment, as explained by Liberal Cabinet Minister Mark Miller, would allow Christians to be prosecuted for hate speech if they publicly cite certain passages of the Bible which the Liberals find offensive.
The motion will enable Liberals to ram passage of Bill C-9 through parliament as early as next Friday March 13th. Therefore, we have to mobilize immediately to stop it.
Please start phoning the MPs listed below and demand that they:
a) Vote against next week's motion to limit committee debate on Bill C-9; and
b) Withdraw the amendment to delete the Criminal Code's existing "religious text exemption" for hate speech; and
c) Abandon Bill C-9 in its entirety, and leave our free speech and religious freedom rights alone!
Also tell them that if they vote in favour of next week's motion to limit debate on Bill C-9, you will remember that in the next election and plan your vote accordingly.
We need you to call as many of the following MPs as you can over the next 4 business days. If we can inundate the MPs with outrage over Bill C-9's threat to religious freedom, perhaps we can get the Carney Liberals to back off and pull the bill, just as they were forced to do in the past with the carbon tax and the budget recommendation to strip churches of charitable tax status.
