I have some bad news...
As I previously reported, the Carney Liberals introduced a motion to end the Justice Committee's study of censorship Bill C-9, the so-called "Combatting Hate Act".
Unfortunately, the Liberal and Bloc MPs constituted a majority and succeeded in passing the motion despite unanimous Conservative Party opposition.
So now, the Justice Committee will quickly move C-9 out of committee, and it will proceed to a final, third reading, parliamentary vote as early as this Friday.
The Liberals and Bloc together constitute a majority of MPs in the House of Commons. It remains uncertain whether the NDP will vote Yes or NO, but even with the Bloc's support, Carney has the numbers he needs to pass it.
Therefore, our only chance to defeat Bill C-9 on 3rd reading is to continue flooding Liberal and Bloc MPs' offices with so many phone calls that they worry a YES vote could cost them their seat in the next election.
Jack, yesterday, I sent you a list of the Liberal MPs in your own province, and asked you to phone all of them by Friday March 13th.
If you've already made those calls, thank you so much!
Now, I have to ask you to please sacrifice a bit more of your time...
Could you start phoning the MPs in all the other provinces? Their contact info is at the link below.
If you haven't yet placed any phone calls, please use the list above and start with the MPs in your province.
Then, if you can take the time, move onto MPs in the other provinces.
So far, CLC supporters have placed at least 1,500 phone calls to these MPs... but we need to bombard them with a lot more between now and Friday.
Finally, after making your calls, would you please fill out the form below to report to CLC how many phone calls you made, so that we can keep track of the totals?
I'll take a moment now to remind you why Bill C-9 is so dangerous...
It will allow Christians to be prosecuted for hate speech if they publicly cite certain passages of the Holy Bible which the Liberals find offensive.
The bill will remove the "religious text defense" currently contained in the Criminal Code of Canada which currently protects Christians from charges of "hate speech" for citing controversial bible passages.
The bill will also remove the current requirement for the Attorney General to approve any and all hate speech charges, thus opening the floodgates for any left-wing police officer to lay "hate speech" charges on Christians.
It's relevant to note that EGALE, the country's most powerful LGBT-activist organization, has been training police forces across Canada for many years now about "diversity", "inclusion" and "combatting hate" .
Can you take a wild guess which community EGALE has been indoctrinating police forces to believe is the main source of "hate crimes" against LGBT?
