As your friends at Campaign Life Coalition, we're always encouraging pro-life, pro-family New Brunswickers to step forward and defend our shared values at every level of government — including right at home in your local communities.
The 2026 New Brunswick Municipal and School Board elections are fast approaching on Monday, May 11, 2026. Nominations opened on March 23, and the deadline to file your papers and put your name forward is Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
Here's the exciting news: As of this writing, there are 195 vacancies for various mayor, town council, and district education council seats across the province.
That means hundreds of positions currently have zero candidates filed.
This creates a very real opportunity for you (or someone you know) to be acclaimed — elected without even having to run a campaign or spend a single dollar on advertising. In many communities, simply showing up and filing your nomination papers could mean you win your seat automatically.

Look for your municipality, rural district, or District Education Council sub-district. If you see seats listed with zero candidates, that's your open door to make a difference!
