REPORT: National “Pride” Flag Walk-Out Day

LGBT militants have raised their flag of conquest at governmental, corporate and educational institutions across Canada in their annual brainwashing campaign.

For at least 30 days of “Pride Month”, every Canadian who interacts with these powerful institutions will have no choice but to be subjected to homosexual and transgender indoctrination.

However, the most coveted prize of all for our LGBT rulers is... the schools.

There, in the classroom, for six hours a day, away from the protective influence of parents, they can mold the minds of the next generation to reject God’s laws for human sexuality and human flourishing.

Well, once again this year, we pushed back hard against “Pride Month” and LGBT domination over our children’s hearts and minds!

We’re pleased to report that families from at least six different provinces participated in the fourth annual National “Pride” Flag Walk-Out Day by keeping their children home from school, in protest.

Those provinces were British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick, which makes it a truly national campaign.

In cities and towns, at Catholic and Public schools, parents sent a powerful message that they don’t want LGBT ideology taught to their kids.

Comments received by CLC indicated that parents were very excited about this opportunity to make their voice heard, and eager to recruit others.

For example, we know of one family in Niagara Falls who recruited four additional families to keep their kids home from the local Catholic elementary school. A total of 15 kids were pulled out of school from that family’s efforts!

It’s difficult to obtain numbers on how many students were kept home from school due to the fact that school boards do not publicize absence rates. And also because the mainstream media avoids investigating or reporting on absences, perhaps to suppress our campaign and try to prevent the idea from spreading.

However, I’m confident that the student absences on Day 1 of “Pride Month” sent a clear message to teachers, staff, and school board trustees: “We don’t want LGBT ideology forced down our children’s throats!”

This campaign must’ve driven woke teachers and staff crazy!

In fact, we learned from a source at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board that some schools tried to blunt the effect of National “Pride” Flag Walk-Out Day by scheduling several important sporting events that students want to attend, on the same day as the “Pride” flag raising.

Their thinking was: if students stay home in protest of the LGBT flag, they’ll also have to miss the sporting event they were looking forward to. Aren’t these woke educators just so sneaky?

Pray-Ins a visible sign of opposition to the “Pride” Flag

When we launched the very first National “Pride” Flag Walk-Out Day in 2023, we decided to anchor it in the power of God by also hosting select “pray-in” events on June 1st. Families could “walk out” and then “pray in”!

This year, from June 1-3, well over one hundred CLC supporters, from a variety of religious backgrounds, once again joined a local pray-in at public and Catholic school board offices.

We also witnessed outside of Catholic diocesan offices to inspire the bishops to be true spiritual shepherds to the schools under their authority.

We were delighted to see a pray-in take place at a New Brunswick school board for the first time ever, at the Anglophone West School District! This is a sign that our anti-“Pride” movement is growing.

Our presence remains controversial to some people, and yet, in many locations, an overwhelming majority of responses from passersby were supportive, be it supportive honks, encouraging shouts through the car window, or subtle nods and thumbs up. So many people were grateful that we were doing this.

One woman parked her vehicle and approached those praying outside the Anglophone West School District in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The organizer shared this account of what happened:

…she told me, ‘I just want to thank you for what you are doing here.’ Surprised, relieved, and so grateful, I gave her a hug, thanking her for being yet another ‘angel.’ She said she was on her way to an appointment but had seen us and was drawn to stop and offer support. She briefly told me that she, too, faces negativity from others because of her stance, but that she keeps going ... for Jesus.

Our local Fredericton pray-in leader, a faithful Catholic named Jocelyn, was so energized that she plans to continue doing it every Monday for the rest of June. These pray-ins will take place from 12-1 pm in front of the Anglophone West School District office, 20 Knowledge Park, Fredericton, NB.

In her report to CLC, Jocelyn recognized that the Catholic Church urges laity to devote the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (not the sin of “pride”), and she will hold the weekly pray-ins in that spirit.

Pray-in participants themselves found the spiritual aspect meaningful, with someone at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board event writing, "It was a powerful time of prayer for me."

We also connected with potential candidates ahead of the Ontario municipal elections this fall.

We’d love to continue to expand the reach of these pray-ins next year. Ideally, every school board celebrating “Pride” would see some sort of peaceful counter-demonstration.

Please reach out to [email protected] if you would be willing to lead a pray-in.

NOTE: A rosary of reparation will be held at 5 pm every Wednesday in June outside the Niagara Catholic District School Board (427 Rice Road, Welland, ON).
