Pro-Life Care Centres Under Attack Again
The Liberal party has had it in for Pregnancy Care Centres for years.
Now they are trying to shut them down through new Income Tax regulations being proposed.
Liberal elites seem to have nothing but contempt for the good work these pro-life ministries do for hurting women and their precious babies – providing diapers, clothing, formula, along with educational resources and moral support. The Liberal party frankly despises the positive impact these pro-life organizations make, influencing our communities and Canadian society towards a culture of life.
All that the Liberals can see, apparently, is a threat to their anti-life, anti-faith agenda.
Justin Trudeau, in his 2021 election platform, planted the seeds of a lie, falsely claiming that pro-life groups “are actively working to spread misinformation about abortion, putting the health and safety of young people and vulnerable women at risk.” He even made this vile commitment: “A re-elected Liberal government will... no longer provide charity status to anti-abortion organizations (for example, Crisis Pregnancy Centres) that provide dishonest counselling to women about their rights and about the options available to them at all stages of the pregnancy.”
Mr. Trudeau should have heeded the words of St. Peter: “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.” (1 Peter 3:10).
Thankfully, by God’s grace, through your prayers, and with the help of our petition campaigns, rallies, and press conferences, we were able to stave off the closure of Canada’s Pregnancy Care Centres – and Mr. Trudeau exited the scene. Pro-life ministries are still thriving today, and they are helping tens of thousands of women every year across Canada!
However, under Mark Carney’s government, the Liberals are crafting a new scheme to shut down the life-saving work of these pro-life centres.
In their Recommendation #65 for the 2026 budget, just released last month, the Carney Liberals propose “amendments to the Income Tax Act to require greater transparency from anti-abortion pregnancy centres in order to mitigate harm to clients and prevent the misuse of charitable status” (emphasis added).
The slanderous inference in their proposal is quite obvious: According to pro-death Liberal thinking, life-affirming Pregnancy Care Centres are a blight on Canadian society, harming women and abusing their tax-free charitable status.
The Liberals also state in Recommendation #65 that they plan to “update and expand the Abortion in Canada web portal at Health Canada,” which would direct more hurting women to end the lives of their preborn babies rather than seek healing and support through Pregnancy Care Centres.
The lies are back and the vicious attack on pro-life ministries continues!
The 2026 Budget is about to go to the House of Commons for a vote, and Recommendation #65 will be a part of that vote. Let’s make sure our elected representatives actually represent us and the women and babies who benefit so much from Pregnancy Care Centres.
