PC Party of New Brunswick Leadership Election

A new leader for the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick will be elected on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Only two candidates are on the ballot: Daniel Allain, MLA for Moncton East and Don Monahan, MLA for Arcadia-Butternut Valley-Maple Hills. Neither has responded to CLC's election survey thus far. The pro-life former Premier Blaine Higgs has endorsed Don Monahan.
Voting will be conducted by mail, using a ranked choice voting system.
Some key upcoming dates:
- July 31, 2026 – Ballot qualification deadline for approved candidates.
- August 14, 2026 – Last day to join the party to vote.
- October 17, 2026 – Leadership convention takes place.
