‘Follow Me’: Theme Announced for 2026 National March for Life

With just three months to go before Canada’s largest annual pro-life demonstration, Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) has unveiled the official theme of the 2026 National March for Life.
“Follow Me” is Jesus Christ’s original call to His first disciples. “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men,” Jesus said to them (Matthew 4:19). It is a call that changed history. Upon hearing the call, the hearers “immediately…left their nets and followed Him.”
“‘Follow Me’ is, first and foremost, an invitation to be disciples of Christ—and to be fishers of men,” said Josie Luetke, CLC’s Director of Education and Advocacy, during the February 5 theme reveal that was streamed on YouTube (watch the full event here). “Because as a pro-life movement, we're not just working to save lives, but also to save souls; to not just win arguments, but to win people over for Christ with the same love and compassion that He had for all.”
Luetke said that the theme is also an invitation “whispered” into the hearts of new mothers and fathers to embrace the lifelong journey from “womb to tomb”: watching in awe as their child sucks a thumb on an ultrasound, takes first steps, rides a bike, graduates, and one day starts a family of their own.
“And it's a beautiful journey, especially when we think about the fact that we are accompanied by Christ through every stage and season of life—through every trial and tribulation,” she said.
This year’s National March for Life marks 57 years to the day since the passage of Canada’s 1969 omnibus bill that opened the door to abortion-on-demand. Since that time, nearly 5 million preborn children have been killed by abortion in Canada. In addition, countless human embryos have been frozen or discarded through IVF, and nearly 100,000 Canadians have been killed through euthanasia under the federal Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) regime.
This year’s theme is also a call to action, an invitation to follow spiritual and pro-life leaders onto Parliament Hill on May 14 for the 2026 National March for Life. It is also an invitation that can be extended to our friends, families, schools, and faith communities to join the pro-life movement in Ottawa.
“'Follow Me’ is an invitation,” said CLC Vice President Matthew Wojciechowski during the theme reveal. “It's a call to say ‘Yes’ to the Lord, and it's a call to say ‘Yes!’—I will stand up for those who have no voice.”
