New Democrat Party, Surrey-Panorama, BC

Bio

Jinny Sims
Not Supportable
CLC rating: Pro-abortion
Rating Comments: In 2012, as a federal MP, Ms. Sims voted against Stephen Woodworth's principled Motion 312 to study whether a child in the womb is a human being based on the preponderance of evidence from modern medical science. She also voted in favour of the reckless, transgender 'Bathroom Bill' (C-279), predecessor of the now-enacted Bill C-16, which puts young girls and women at risk by creating a fake, legal right for men to access women's bathrooms and change rooms. The NDP's official position is pro-abortion. It was the NDP government, elected in 1990, that introduced regulations within the province's Health Act, to force hospitals within each region of the province to provide "abortion services", even where the hospital board of directors had voted against the practice. In 2001, the ruling NDP government issued one of the most radical pro-abortion resolutions ever seen in North America which included increased funding for the medical training of abortionists; enhanced access to abortifacient morning-after pills; and increased fees for abortionists. The NDP also passed the "bubble zone" law t to prevent pro-life protests in front of abortuaries. The BC NDP is also opposed to traditional family values. Its constitution includes a "Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgendered Caucus" within the party.
