Rating Comments: Paula supports free speech and has strong pro-life leanings, however she cannot be considered fully pro-life due to harbouring a rape exception in which she believes abortion killings should be legal. CLC adheres to the universal principle that it is never morally licit to kill an innocent human being. The baby in the womb, even if conceived in rape, is completely innocent and committed no crime. Although these rare situations are very sensitive and emotional, and the woman in that situation deserves love and support, we cannot kill an innocent child for the crimes of her father. Thousands of childless Canadians couples, suffering the agony of infertility, are on long waiting lists to adopt a baby, and this is the most compassionate and moral option to deal with such a situation.
