Rating Comments: Jimmy Jackson is a candidate for the office of Mayor of St. Catharines in the 2026 Ontario Municipal Elections.
Previously, he was the New Blue Party candidate for the riding of Niagara Centre in the 2025 Ontario Provincial Election. In his response to CLC's 2025 provincial questionnaire, Mr. Jackson expressed his belief that some forms of peaceful, constitutionally-protected pro-life expression should remain illegal, as they are under the current draconian Ontario "bubble zone" legislation. This belief is an obstacle to CLC being able to rate Mr. Jackson as fully pro-life.

| Question | Response |
|---|---|
| Organizations like Planned Parenthood (PP) routinely counsel women to have abortions. Given that abortion is a controversial practice that many taxpayers in your municipality find abhorrent, do you agree that PP and similar “sexual health agencies" should not receive taxpayer funds through the municipality? | Yes (based on 2025 provincial survey) |
| Do you acknowledge that human life begins at conception (fertilization)? | Unclear (based on 2025 provincial survey) |
| Do you consider yourself pro-life or pro-choice? | Pro-life (based on 2025 provincial survey) |
| There has been a move in some municipal jurisdictions to pass bylaws which establish censorship zones, also called “bubble zones”, around abortion facilities. These unconstitutional censorship zones make it illegal to express peaceful pro-life speech, including silent prayer, on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within the vicinity of abortion facilities and pharmacies which dispense abortion pills. If elected, would you vote to oppose such a censorship bylaw? | No, only to modify it (based on 2025 provincial survey) |
