CLC rating: Pro-abortion, anti-family
Rating Comments: Chris Alexander, a former Conservative MP with the Stephen Harper government, has never responded to CLC candidate questionnaire. As one of 14 contestants in the 2017 Conservative Party of Canada leadership election, Mr. Alexander received a rating of “F” from CLC.

While sitting as an MP, he voted in 2012 against fellow Conservative MP Stephen Woodworth's principled Motion 312 to study whether a child in the womb is a human being, based on the evidence of modern medical science. Then-MP Alexander also voted in favour of the reckless transgender "Bathroom Bill" C-279, that would put young girls and women at risk by creating a counterfeit, legal 'right' for men to access women's bathrooms and changerooms; a version of this bill went on to become law under the morally decadent rule of the Justin Trudeau Liberals.

Birthdate (yyyy.mm.dd): Sept. 9, 1968
Religion / Faith: unknown

Here are the answers for the questionnaire as provided by Chris Alexander on 2026.

Question Response
Organizations like Planned Parenthood (PP) routinely counsel women to have abortions. Given that abortion is a controversial practice that many taxpayers in your municipality find abhorrent, do you agree that PP and similar “sexual health agencies" should not receive taxpayer funds through the municipality? no response (as an MP)
Do you acknowledge that human life begins at conception (fertilization)? no response (as an MP)
Do you consider yourself pro-life or pro-choice? no response (as an MP)
There has been a move in some municipal jurisdictions to pass bylaws which establish censorship zones, also called “bubble zones”, around abortion facilities. These unconstitutional censorship zones make it illegal to express peaceful pro-life speech, including silent prayer, on taxpayer-owned public sidewalks within the vicinity of abortion facilities and pharmacies which dispense abortion pills. If elected, would you vote to oppose such a censorship bylaw? no response (as an MP)
