| Motion to amend the Fundraising Activities Policy of the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) to exclude pro-abortion recipients This motion, introduced by faithful Catholic HCDSB Trustee Helena Karabela, called for making an amendment to the board's Fundraising Activities Policy V-04. That amendment would have prevented any funds raised by HCDSB from being donated to charities or non-profit organizations that directly or indirectly support abortion, abortifacient contraception, embryonic stem cell research, or euthanasia. Sadly, this eminently Catholic motion was defeated when five of the nine Catholic trustees voted against it, along with two abstentions, on April 8, 2025. |
