Urgent: Westlock plebiscite on municipal neutrality

If you haven't already done so, we need you to get out to the Westlock & District Community Hall, located at 10711 - 104 Ave.

Get there today, Thursday February 22, and vote YES to the plebiscite question. If passed by a majority of votes, a by-law will automatically be passed which does the following two things, going forward:

  • Only Federal, Provincial and Municipal flags may be flown on flagpoles on Town of Westlock municipal property.

  • All crosswalks in the Town of Westlock must be the standard white striped pattern between two parallel white lines.

What this effectively means is that transgender and homosexual Pride symbols will no longer be permitted on municipal property, whether flags on building tops or painted crosswalks.

I cannot stress how important it is that we get a pro-family victory in today's plebiscite. Please get out and vote YES!

There will also be polling stations at the Pembina and Smithfield lodges to allow residents there to vote.

Do me another favour and please pass this email along to all of your family and friends throughout Westlock to ensure they also get out to vote YES.
