Scandal at Waterloo Catholic DSB still being ignored
Nine months ago, a scandal broke at the Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) that has been ignored and swept under the rug as if it didn't matter.
In March, Rebel News released a scathing expose alleging serious financial malfeasance and financial conflict of interest by a WCDSB trustee.
Rebel's expose featured a segment (time stamp 4:43) on Kitchener-Wilmot Trustee Kathy Doherty-Masters, alleging that she participated in board decisions which resulted in several WCDSB contracts being awarded to her husband.
These deals were worth thousands of dollars.
Trusteee Doherty-Masters had an ethical and legal obligation to recuse herself from any board decisions that could have resulted in providing a monetary benefit to her husband, but she failed to do so.
That is unacceptable behaviour from a Catholic school trustee and steward of taxpayer money.
Trustee Kathy Doherty-Masters must resign
We're asking you to please phone all the WCDSB trustees to express your outrage at the lack of sanctions against Trustee Doherty-Masters, and to demand they press for her resignation, publicly.
Phone calls coming directly from constituents like you tend to have the greatest impact on elected officials, so your voice will have an influence!
