Quebecers must throw out the Bloc!

Lire en français

This is an urgent call-to-action for every Campaign Life Coalition supporter in Quebec. The Bloc Québécois recently revealed itself to be the sworn enemy of Christianity, and we are launching a petition campaign to ensure every single Bloc MP is driven out of office in the next federal election, or before if possible.

Why do I make this accusation against the party?

Well, in December, Bloc leader Yves-François Blanchet requested an anti-Christian amendment to Bill C-9, the Liberal government’s censorious “hate speech” Bill. The Liberals agreed to accept the amendment in exchange for the Bloc’s support of C-9.

If Bill C-9 becomes law with Blanchet’s amendment, it will remove the Criminal Code’s religious belief defense which currently protects bible-believing Christians from accusations of “hate speech” when they quote sacred scripture on controversial matters.

In effect, Blanchet’s removal of the religious text defense would strip religious people of their right to speak freely about their faith in regards to homosexuality, transgenderism and potentially other politically incorrect areas of Christian doctrine.

This has opened a legislative pathway to hunt down and persecute Christians for quoting the Bible in public, or preaching about its tenets.

We cannot let the Bloc get away with this. It must pay a political price. Doing so will serve as a warning to all Marxists who’ve been working feverishly to eradicate Quebec’s Christian heritage.

Quebecers must wake up to the truth that the Bloc is waging war against every bible-believing Christian in your province.

Attacking Quebec's Christian Heritage

This cold-blooded move by the Bloc Québécois is especially obscene because the party always tries to present itself as the “great defender” of Quebec society and heritage.

The Bloc, a defender? Let’s examine that facade.

Historical reality is that Quebec was founded upon a distinctly Christian identity. Catholic missionaries like Jean de Brébeuf and devout explorers like Samuel de Champlain came to ‘New France’ with hearts that burned to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who had never heard it, and they gave birth to Quebec society.

“This is the art which from my early age has… led me to explore the coasts of a part of America, especially of New France, where I have always desired to see the Lily flourish, and also the only religion, catholic, apostolic and roman. This I trust now to accomplish with the help of God, assisted by the favor of your Majesty, whom I most humbly entreat to continue to sustain us, in order that all may redound to His greater glory and to the luster of your reign.”

- Samuel de Champlain, 1613-1632, from his memoirs invoking divine aid for the colony’s success.

It’s undeniable that the Bible was revered by Quebec’s courageous founders. Yet, Yves-François Blanchet and the Bloc want to change Canada’s laws so that you can be charged with “hate speech” for quoting from that very same Bible which inspired Brébeuf, Champlain and all the Quebec founders!

Why would the Bloc attack its own heritage?

Simply put, it’s because they hate the Church and her moral teachings.

They have nothing but contempt for Christ’s followers, whether they be in the Catholic Church or in the various Evangelical assemblies.

Don’t believe the Islam pretext. Blanchet’s true target is Christianity.

Don't believe the lie that this Bill C-9 amendment is a reaction to the controversial 2024 speech in Montreal by Muslim Imam Adil Charkaoui, in which he called for the killing of “Zionist aggressors” in Gaza. Charkaoui was referring to the Israeli government, and his speech created headlines across Quebec and the rest of Canada.

I know that’s the narrative the Bloc put out to justify deleting the religious text defense from the Criminal Code.

Blanchet wants you to believe Bill C-9 is targeting Muslims, not Christians. He’s even hoping to trick you into believing that this amendment is about protecting Quebec’s Christian cultural heritage from Islamic encroachment!

However, that is a total lie. Don’t believe him for a second. The church is Blanchet’s only target. Let’s examine the evidence for my hypothesis...

If police believed that Charkaoui called for the killing of Jews, as was widely reported, then they had all the evidence they needed to charge him with a hate crime under the Criminal Code, didn’t they? After all, the Code already makes it illegal to call for violence against an identifiable group.

However, when the RCMP and the Quebec Crown Prosecutor declined to press charges against Charkaoui, they never once suggested that the Imam’s speech was protected by the religious text defense.

Instead, they explained that the words spoken simply did not “constitute incitement to hatred against an identifiable group” and therefore, did not violate Canadian law.

We know that the people behind the Bloc are part of Quebec’s ruling, secular elite. This elite ruling class is extremely powerful and runs all the institutions, so if they wanted to charge the controversial Imam, they could have easily done so.

We also know that this elite has always been hostile to the Church and has worked to undermine Christianity’s influence in Quebec society.

Just think back to last summer when this anti-Christian clique worked to cancel Christian worship singer Sean Feucht’s appearances in various Quebec venues (see here and here).

Think about the removal of the crucifix from Quebec’s National Assembly and from Montreal City Hall.

Think back to November when the CAQ’s Secularism Minister, Jean-François Roberge revealed that his government intended to make it illegal to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus, and warned that anything "Catholic" must be removed from the celebration of Christmas.

“We can wish someone Merry Christmas. We can sing Christmas songs. This is nothing but tradition. But we shouldn’t make any references to the birth of baby Jesus. When we wish someone Merry Christmas, we can think of Santa Claus and his elves, but nothing Catholic.”  (emphasis added)

A reporter then asked Roberge if that meant “a Christmas tree but no crèche,” to which he answered, “I think that’s a good illustration.”

This is the proper context in which you must understand the Bloc Quebecois leader’s amendment to Bill C-9.

These decisive government actions against peaceful Christian leaders, symbols and traditions stand in stark contrast to the state’s toleration of Islamic activity, for example, the occupation of entire streets for Muslim prayer.

We can plainly observe that against Christians, there is always decisive action to shut us down and a clearly articulated plan for how they will go about it. For Muslims, however, there is never any such action. I submit that this double-standard tells you everything you need to know about what Bill C-9 and the Bloc amendment are truly designed to accomplish.

The only target of Bill C-9 is Christianity.

The only holy book that will be censored and criminalized is the Christian Bible.

This was inadvertently revealed during a committee meeting studying Bill C-9, by one of the Bloc’s co-conspirators in the Liberal Party of Canada, the Minister of Culture, Marc Miller, who stated that:

In Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Romans – there’s other passages – there is clear hatred towards, for example, homosexuals… I mean, clearly there are situations in these texts where these statements are hateful. They should not be used to invoke or be a defense, and there should perhaps be discretion for prosecutors to press charges.

Did you notice that Minister Miller specifically cited passages from the Christian bible on his hit list?

What did you NOT notice in his diatribe?  Well, he never cited any “Surahs” from the Koran, did he? It seems pretty clear that there’s only one holy book he’s got his sights on.

I believe the Bloc Quebecois leader is of the exact same mind as Minister Miller. The Bloc wants to expunge Christianity from Quebec, once and for all, and that’s the purpose of Blanchet’s amendment.

I guarantee you that If Bill C-9 is passed, the new law will never be used to stop Muslim street occupations, nor to disperse Muslim prayer gatherings in front of Catholic churches.

In fact, I imagine that it made Blanchet very happy to see Muslims provoking Catholic worshipers by conducting repeated large-scale public Islamic prayers outside Notre-Dame Basilica. Such is the seething contempt that the Bloc Quebecois has for Christianity.

Believe me - the sole purpose of this Bloc amendment to the federal hate speech law is to take away the good faith religious defense for Christians who are motivated by their belief in St. Paul's letter to the Romans, the Book of Leviticus, and other biblical passages that identify homosexual acts as gravely sinful.

The Bloc is offended that Quebec’s heritage is fundamentally Christian, and they’re trying get rid of it.

Exact justice on the Bloc

CLC is calling on all Quebecers to punish – peacefully and politically – this evil Bloc Québécois party that is attacking the Christian heritage at the heart of Quebec's history and identity.

Please commit to helping us “run them out of town”! Defeat every Bloc MP and every Bloc candidate who runs in an election or by-election. Leave not one single seat in the House of Commons for the Christianity-hating Bloc.

The Bloc has carefully created a mask which presents it as the great defender of Quebec heritage and culture. That mask is a fraud. The Bloc is the primary assailant attacking Quebec's heritage and culture with its insidious plot to criminalize the Christian Faith brought here by the very first French pioneers and Catholic missionaries.

The Bloc is your enemy.

They've behaved exactly like traitors, pillaging the very soul of their Quebec homeland, which gave them birth.

They've behaved like gangsters, imposing a secularist nihilism on their unsuspecting neighbours while ransacking the faith that gave identity, meaning, and hope to their lives and their society.

Take action today!

Sign our pledge to condemn the Bloc leader Yves-François Blanchet and every Bloc MP, and to ensure that in the next election, as well as any by-elections that may occur, every single one of these despoilers is defeated. Share it with everyone you know as a means to wake Quebecers up to the threat posed to the province's true heritage by the Bloc Québécois.

Please also consider running for office against the Bloc in your riding, to ensure there is a pro-Christianity candidate.

Following Christ's command to love even our enemies, we will do the most loving thing we can toward the members of the Bloc Québécois: we will pray for their conversion, but we will also act to stop them from destroying the soul of Quebec.
