Rating Comments: In January 2023, Councillor Gardi threw his support behind a shocking motion that was introduced by fellow Councillor Angela Caputo to declare that "Sault Ste Marie city council proudly embraces our diverse population, including our budding drag community." This obscene motion was put forward only days before a transvestite "Drag Queen Story Hour" event that was scheduled to take place at a local public library, and was meant to discredit a planned protest by concerned citizens who opposed exposing children to transvestitism and sexual confusion.
