Rating Comments: In November 2023, Chan caved to pressure from media and far-left City Councillors, to abaondon his prior principled position of opposing gender ideology in schools. Chan had been seen applauding and nodding in agreement after Pierre Poilievre stating at a campaign rally that: "Justin Trudeau does not have the right to impose his radical gender ideology on our kids and on our schools.”.
However, after being attacked by leftist fellow Councillor Cilevetz and Mayor West, Godwin immediately abandoned his pro-parent stance, begged forgiveness from the radical LGBT lobby, and began trumpeting their talking points in a humiliating, groveling manner.
