Say no to Sex-Ed.

Please come and join concerned parents tonight - Tuesday April 28, at 7:00 pm - for a presentation opposing the new Sex Ed Curriculum at Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. Please make an effort to come; we need as many parents and Catholics as we can mobilize for the event. The presentation will start at 7:00 pm and will last only 5 minutes. Basically, we just need 30 minutes of your time. Please share this notice with your friends.

The following will be presented to the Board:

"We are here to express our disappointment at the fact that Catholic Institutions in Ontario, including the Catholic School Board, FAILED to provide a constructive critique of the new Curriculum by the Province of Ontario. A curriculum that is seriously flawed, based on questionable science, and degrades human sexuality to mere aspects of sexual drive, stripping it from any notion of love and responsibility. Yes, it is true that you have a legal obligation to implement the curriculum when it becomes a law in Ontario, BUT, at the same time, you have no legal obligation to agree with it or to be silent when you see serious flaws in it. Moreover, you have an Obligation, based on your mission and vision Statement, to stand up for our children and their right to a high quality Catholic education. We are here to tell you, that we as parents feel "Betrayed and Abandoned" by the Catholic Institutions in the Province. Organizations and institutions that do not have the guts to stand up for their own values, and for what they believe, have no right to exist. With sadness we have to say, that your negligence to speak on the issue, puts into question the very reasons of your existence as a Separate Catholic School Board. Please be informed that the curriculum, as it stands today, will not be accepted by us parents and we will massively pull out our children from the Sex Ed program, or completely from the School-System. The implementation of this seriously flawed curriculum is a "NO GO" from our parental perspective. It is not happening! WE SAY NO!" - Period.
