The Parents Alliance of Ontario (PAO), one of many groups opposed to the Liberal sex curriculum, has organized a Car & Flag Rally on Yonge Street to protest the Wynne government's irresponsible sex-ed curriculum. This unprecedented PAO event takes place this Saturday, June 20th starting at 10 a.m. from Yonge St. and HWY 7 at the parking lot in front of the Home Depot (50 Red Maple Road Richmond Hill, ON).  

Campaign Life Coalition is encouraging supporters to participate. Please assemble in the Home Depot parking lot prior to the Rally start time.

- You can come with 1 vehicle, 5 vehicles, or even 10 vehicles!

- Flags for your car will be available from PAO representatives at a cost of $2.50 each, at the parking lot assembly point.

- PAO is encouraging people who have connections to local or ethnic media, to invite reporters

Yonge Street is the north-south axis crossing Toronto and also the longest street in the world. For 200 years, it has witnessed many glories and dreams in the development of Canada. However, on Saturday, Yonge Street will mark the shame of an Ontario Liberal government that is ignoring Canada's democratic principles, by imposing a radical sex-ed regime against the will of the very families it claims to serve.

Ontarians have submitted petition to the Wynne government with over 180,000 signatures opposing the explicit, age-inappropriate sex-ed curriculum. Unfortunately, the government's response to the public outcry was to budget $1.8 million of taxpayer money to create radio and TV ads to whitewash the truth about the curriculum. The Wynne government proceeds stubbornly with its sex-ed mandate and ignores the will of parents and other concerned citizens who wish to protect young children from premature sexualization.  Our response must be even more determined:

On Saturday, let us gather together on Yonge Street with a stream of hundreds of vehicles!

On Saturday, let us rock Yonge Street with hundreds of car flags flying, and chanting “My Child, My Choice!”

On Saturday, let us make a loud and clear statement to the Wynne Liberals with our actions, our stream of vehicles, and our flags!  Say NO to irresponsible sex-education!

CAR RALLY ROUTE

1. Starting from the Home Depot at Yonge & Hwy 7

2. Head south along Yonge St to St Clair

3. Turn right onto St Clair and head west to Bathurst St

4. Turn right onto Bathurst St and head north to Eglinton Ave W

5. Turn right onto Eglinton Ave W and head east to Don Mills Rd and that's the end of the route.

NOTE: Upon arrival at Eglinton & Don Mills, the rally will be finished. Some PAO members will head south onto Don Mills; other participants will be dismissed.
