Campaign Life Coalition to stand with parents at Queen’s Park protest of radical sex-ed curriculum

Toronto, February, 23, 2015 – On Tuesday February 24, Campaign Life Coalition will join with parents from across Ontario in demanding that Premier Kathleen Wynne’s controversial Sex-Education curriculum be stopped, and/or revised with meaningful parental consultation.  Over 2,000 parents have already pledged to join the protest at the official Facebook event page.

Who: Campaign Life Coalition’s Jack Fonseca will join PC Leadership candidates MPP Monte McNaughton and MP Patrick Brown, Teresa Pierre the President of Parents As First Educators, former TDSB school trustee Sam Sotiropolous and several concerned parents.  This is a grassroots rally organized by ordinary citizens. Campaign Life Coalition and the other notable speakers have been invited as guests.

Why: Liz Sandals has admitted the new sex-ed program will look a lot like the controversial curriculum the government scrapped in 2010. Media have confirmed it will discuss oral & anal sex in G. 7, masturbation in Gr. 6, homosexuality in Gr. 3 and sexual body parts in Gr. 1. With respect to the issue of consent, it is now even more controversial because while it will teach minors that they can say no, it will also allow them to say yes.

When: Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11:00am – 2:00pm

Where: Queen’s Park, Toronto
