To: The Right Honourable Prime Minister of Canada:

WHEREAS, a report from the House of Commons Finance Committee has recommended that the government strip churches, Christian charities, and pro-life organizations of their charitable status, crippling them financially, and

WHEREAS, these radical proposals would impose a 100% revocation tax, allowing the government to seize the assets of religious organizations, shutting down churches, food banks, and faith-based charities across Canada, and

WHEREAS, freedom of religion and freedom of speech are fundamental rights enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and must be protected from government overreach.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the undersigned does hereby immediately and unequivocally demand that the above proposals be officially retracted and reject any attempt to strip churches, Christian charities, and pro-life organizations of their legal standing or charitable status while defending their right to exist without government interference, financial penalties, or forced closure.

Sincerely,

[The undersigned]

Explain the revocation tax. It sounds like something from the Soviet Union.

The charities to which I donate do not just promote religion. In numerous ways they provide care for vulnerable individuals, families, and communities. Much of their community service work is done by volunteers. A revocation tax would mean that they would no longer be able to provide valuable services to communities.

The church in Canada is responsible for many supports for the homeless and needy across the country, as well as being a source for comfort and improving the mental health of many Canadians. To strip them of their charitable status would be an inexcusable blow to all Canadians.

Dear Prime Minister Trudeau: As a Christian in Canada who pays taxes, I am upset that your government would want to strip Christian organizations of their right to tax free status. You have already stripped us of the right to access summer student funding by forcing Christian organizations to agree with your pro-abortion st

If government wishes to save money they could start it by stopping sending taxpayers money for “projects” outside of Canada.

The proposed revocation tax sounds like persecution to me. There should be open public debate about this whole issue.
