In this month's President's Message, Jim Hughes shares his insight into the "perfect storm" of events within the last six months that has helped wake up many Canadians to the fact that abortion choice is about killing children, not some abstraction.
The three elements of the perfect storm are:
(1) An Alberta judge's September 2011 defence of infanticide citing society's acceptance of abortion as the defence;
(2) MP Stephen Woodworth's motion to investigate what science tells us about when a human being comes into existence;
(3) The Canadian Medical Association Journal's January 2012 editorial calling for a ban on sex-selection abortion, which it admitted is occurring in Canada.
