Campaign Life Coalition asks: “Do Canadian abortionists sell aborted baby parts too?”

Toronto, July 16, 2015 – On July 14th, the Center for Medical Progress released footage of a senior director from the Planned Parenthood Federation of America discussing their practice of harvesting and selling fetal organs from aborted babies. In the video, the Planned Parenthood employee describes the disturbing techniques that abortionists use to dismember pre-born babies for the purpose of keeping their organs, including heart, lungs, and liver intact, for experimental purposes. Since the video was released, two congressional committees and at least five states have begun investigations into Planned Parenthood.

“If the trafficking of aborted baby parts is a common practice inside Planned Parenthood facilities across America, the question Canadians should be asking is, ‘does this happen in abortuaries across Canada as well?’” said Jim Hughes, President of Campaign Life Coalition. “Not only are babies killed in their mothers’ wombs but their bodies become fodder for scientific experiments and potential profit. This is complete dehumanization.”

Although Canadian Planned Parenthood affiliates do not commit abortions, they are a leading referral service for abortions across the country and are still linked to the International Planned Parenthood Federation, the largest abortion provider and lobby group in the world. Similar to Planned Parenthood in the U.S., Canadian affiliates also receive grants from various levels of government.

“Planned Parenthood, the largest promoter of abortion worldwide now wants to make more money from the human remains of their grisly work.” said Mary Ellen Douglas, National Organizer of Campaign Life Coalition. “Abortion in Canada and around the world has created a conscience gap in humankind which kills compassion for the defenseless victims and an incredible callousness even towards their remains. I remind you that this has happened before in history.”

Campaign Life Coalition calls on the provincial ministries of health to investigate whether Canada’s abortion industry is also involved in a baby parts trade.
