Rating Comments: On March 2, 2020, Councillor Johnston voted in City Council to pass a reckless and draconain Motion that bans all forms of counseling that radical LGBT activists disingenuously define as "conversion therapy". The ban is likely to apply to all corporations, churches and non-profit associations within Red Deer city limits. This totalitarian ban (divided into five clauses) now makes it illegal for persons who experience unwanted gender identity confusion or same-sex attraction from being able to procure either clinical psychotherapy or counseling to overcome their unwanted condition or to leave the transsexual/gay lifestyle. Councillor Johnston voted against only one of the clauses in this terrible Motion (about monitoring federal and provincial manouvers on this type of ban).
