In an email reply to CLC’s provincial election survey, Mr. Ryan gave a response to our questions on abortion, suggesting that he considers the status quo of abortion-on-demand, wherein 100,000 children per year are killed with State approval, a settled issue that he prefers to keep closed: "I know this is something important to many people (on both sides of the issue). It’s obviously a delicate balance of rights. It’s an issue that I feel has been decided by the Government of Canada and the Supreme Court and not something we will be weighing into in this campaign."
