Here are quotes from Alana Paon on various life and family issues:

Expressing her support for abortion in principle, thereby degrading the value of the lives of unborn children to a mere "choice":  "It was my choice to have my son, based on my faith and my beliefs, but for someone else that may be very different." [Nova Scotia Legislature - Hansard - Assembly 63, Session 2 - Wednesday, March 4, 2020]

Describing the large number of children born to her great-grandmother and grandmother (i.e. her own great-aunts and -uncles) as an ordeal that these devoted mothers "went through" because of lack of birth control and abortion:  "Mr. Speaker, keeping in mind what my grandmother went through, what my great-grandmother went through - I am one of five children and my mom was not on any kind of birth control either, so I am kind of, like I say, the last hurrah. I was 10 years after everybody else - surprise." [Nova Scotia Legislature - Hansard - Assembly 63, Session 2 - Wednesday, March 4, 2020]
