Rating Comments: On September 28, 2020, upon hearing a reading in Council by Fredericton's pro-abortion Poet Laureate Jenna Lyn Albert that graphically depicted the sensations of a woman undergoing an abortion procedure, Councillor Kate Rogers revealed her appreciation of abortion by stating that "The arts gives an opportunity for a person to be provocative and to express ideas and perspectives … and to me, that's what we have had." As reported by CBC News, the pro-abortion poem was not written by Ms. Albert; nevertheless, she used her position as Poet Laureate to read the poem in Council in an obvious attempt to influence Councillors on the issue, admitting her political motivation by stating "With the impending closure of (abortion) Clinic 554 … I felt it was really important to share a poem about the importance of abortion access." Ms. Albert added that "It is kind of difficult to be a woman sharing a poem about reproductive rights, which are evidently important to me and many *people that have uteruses* in this city and in this province and to be shut down and told it's too political, which is often the case when you're discussing issues like this - it's really difficult." Poet Laureate Albert's reference to "people that (sic) have uteruses" is a clear indication of her devotion not only to the obscene right to kill children by abortion but also to the anti-human Gender Ideology phantasm that anyone other than a woman can have a uterus. Ms. Albert's two-year term as Poet Laureate began in January 2019.
